Seafront Sundays for this year’s summer season
A traffic free environment can once again be enjoyed by locals and visitors alike as a range of events are planned to be staged along the St. Peter Port seafront during the main summer season.
Nine events are scheduled and these range from food, floral, sports, dance and arts. The Taste of Guernsey food based events have been planned so they coincide with visiting cruise liners that are scheduled to be in local waters.
Deputy Mike O’Hara, Minister for Culture and Leisure said, ‘Listening to customer feedback over the past two years, we now have a good recipe for success. Locals, families, young and elderly and visitors, including cruise- liner passengers, are given the opportunity to stroll along the seafront and enjoy the special themed activities and al fresco dining all staged in a traffic free environment against the fantastic backdrop of the harbour and Castle Cornet. There should be something for everyone and it is all free.’ (from ICFeed)

I have been there or around there many times in the last few years, and have yet to see enough people there to call it a success. Mostly when the sun goes behind the buildings everyone complains about the cold and goes home.
