Spring breaks, Crew clothing, summer dining and the Beatles

The glorious sunshine over the past few days, and the daffodils, violets, crocuses all beautifully in bloom indicate to me that it will soon be time to welcome Spring visitors to our shores for some rest and relaxation. All of the Island teams are working incredibly hard in preparation for the forthcoming season. The gardeners are currently working in the Hotel gardens planting an array of new and exciting displays. There have been many refurbishment projects happening throughout the winter to our visitor accommodation. We have continued to replace bathrooms and kitchens in a number of Holiday Cottages, and also bathrooms in the White House Hotel. We have also refurbished 23 bedrooms in the Hotel this winter, with the final touches being put into place over the next few weeks. The balance of Hotel bedrooms will be completed next winter.

Many people visit Herm as part of a party for lunch or dinner throughout the summer. The Mermaid Tavern has made some changes to its "Top Deck" barbecue menu's for 2011, and is offering great value, yet with an enhanced, delicious menu that would suitable for groups of up to 100 people. The Ship bar and restaurant and the Captains Table at the White House Hotel will both be open from the lst April. The Captains Table carvery not only serves a fabulous three course meal, but also welcomes you with canapes and a glass of sparkling wine. Live entertainment in our marquee

Party the night away with your favourite tribute acts whilst raising money for our three chosen charities for the 2011 season: the Flying Christine, Channel Island Air Search and World Vision. Last year we raised £2,525.00. Take the Trident over and enjoy a superb dinner before the live entertainment begins in the marquee.

Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th May - Beatles Tribute - £65 per person

Musically, no detail is overlooked to re-create the true sound and excitement of The Beatles, with every song performed totally live and in its original key. Visually, our presentation is as close to the real thing as you can imagine... Close your eyes, could it really be them? Quality stage outfits range from the early Cavern days through to Beatlemania and beyond.

Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th - Robbie Williams - £55 per person

An amazingly talented and versatile performer, Paul Warren interprets the strutting, swaggering style of Robbie Williams exactly how it should be done. The brilliant vocals perfected to extraordinary standards together with commanding stage presence has produced highly entertaining and visual show that is completely unrivalled.
