Waitrose breaking the law?
Took a wander around the new Waitrose store on Friday for the 1st time, and it was quite impressive, prices are low on some products and "loaded" on others, so its very much you save with one and it costs you more for the other
One thing I did notice is that they have Paracetamol and other based products on the shelf, now maybe I am wrong, but I seem the remember that these products were banned from being on shop shelves and only pharmacists were allowed to sell these products,
I know some time ago there was a clean up on local store shelves of these products
So are Waitrose "Breaking the Law?" As local managers are running the store I am surprised that they have allowed this to happen...

Re: Waitrose breaking the law?
Is it against the law to display or to sell??, I know for fact that no more than two packs of paracetamol containing products can be sold to any one customer at a time and the tills are set up to refuse sale of more. An interesting question and I look forward to seeing the replies.

Re: Waitrose breaking the law?
You're quite right, Maisiecat. The legal maximum purchase of paracetamol is two packs per customer. The tills are (or should) be set to flag up as a quantity restricted item, just as they are for age restrictions on alcohol etc. There is no restriction regarding the display of the product.
