Stevie Nicks: 'Fleetwood Mac to reunite soon'
Stevie Nicks has claimed that Fleetwood Mac will reunite for a live tour, and possibly a new album, in 2012.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees previously reformed in 2008 for the 'Unleashed' concert series, which saw Fleetwood Mac playing dates all over the world.
In an interview with Perez Hilton, Nicks claimed that she and her bandmates will discuss options for a further collaboration after she and singer-guitarist Lindsey Buckingham finish promoting their respective solo albums.
"When [my album In Yours Dreams] and Lindsey's album come to a stop, then Fleetwood Mac will gather again and we'll either make another record or we won't, and we'll just go on tour," she revealed.
It's been eight years since Fleetwood Mac released their last LP, Say You Will, which reached the top five on the US album charts.
Discussing the prospect of a solo tour, the musician admitted the success of her seventh studio record In Your Dreams will determine whether she'll take on a series of life performances.
"It all depends on what happens when this record comes out. I have said this to many people," Nicks admitted.
She added: "If the record comes out and it blasts out like a rocket, then all of a sudden [I'll] start getting offers from promoters… All the promoters, all the people in this business will wait to see what this record does."
In Your Dreams is now available for purchase in the US and is released on June 27 in the UK (from DS).
