Drink-drive campaign by States and honorary police
A MAJOR drink-driving campaign has been launched today by the States and honorary police.
Officers from both forces will be on the Island’s roads carrying out random road checks in a bid to stop people driving while over the limit.
Inspector Diane Wheeler, from the Roads Policing Unit, said that the public could expect to see officers routinely stopping vehicles in an attempt to identify drink-drivers.
She warned people that they will be breathalysed if they commit an offence or are involved in an accident, and also if they are stopped by police on suspicion of drinking. (from JEP)
