Put some va va vroom into your weekend...
If you like a bit of va va vroom in your life then you will want to be out and about in Jersey this weekend.
Credit Suisse Jersey International Motoring Festival starts roars into action and with the weather set to be scorching and sunny, it is bound to be as popular as ever.
In fact, the three-day event is the island's second biggest tourist attraction, with 10,000 people attending the event last year.
Highlights include sprints, hill climbs, racing action and island-wide tours and cars from all over the world are brought to the island to take part.
The first major spectator event off the line is the Moonlight Sprint this evening.
This will be preceded from 7pm by an exhibition cavalcade of some familiar classic racing vehicles including a Castrol Works Honda Motorcycle and a Camel Lotus 101 F1 racing car.
Saturday and Sunday will see the two hill climbs on Westmount and Mount Bingham, and the Action Arena being brought into play alongside the Grand Hotel for motor racing thrills, stunts and displays.
In People's Park and the Lower Park there are static displays of some of the worlds most classic cars, many of which will also be touring the island throughout the weekend.
Central to this year's festival are the 50 Years of the E-Type Jaguar celebrations.
Half a century ago one of the design icons of the modern world rolled off the Jaguar production line and it has remained a head-turner ever since.
When it was first introduced, the E-Type was a trend setter - a drop dead gorgeous design with class-leading engine performance and wallet-tempting low price.
A parade of E-Types will take place on Friday evening along the west-bound carriageway of Victoria Avenue as a prelude to the moonlight sprint.
