June offers, Children's workshops and Lord's Taverners Cricket
Dear All,
This weekend marks the end of the half term week. It was fabulous to see so many people enjoying Herm Island during the week, staying in the White House Hotel, our Holiday Cottages, and on the Campsites.
There are still family rooms available in the school summer holidays, as well as one or two dates in our Holiday Cottages. Camping reservations are coming through thick and fast, but there are also tents still available during July and August. Jenny and Leana are awaiting your phone calls on 01481 75 00 00, or E mails at reservations@herm.com.
We have a number of special offers currently displayed on our website, but these two are available for June:
3 nights Holiday Cottage offer June, sleeping up to six people - http://bit.ly/3nightHolCott
Stay at the White House Hotel this June for £75 per person, per night, half board - http://bit.ly/HotelJuneOffer
There are plenty more special offers for Herm Island, which can be found by visiting: http://bit.ly/hermspecialoffers
During the next few months, we have some children's creative workshops on the Island which are open to all:
Hermit - Secret Treasure Island - Sunday 13th June 2.30pm - 4.30pm
Hermit - Scavenge & Sculpt - Sunday 17th July 2.30pm - 4.30pm
Herm - Piratey Puppetry - Saturday 27th August 2.30pm - 4.30pm
All events are £15 per child. For further info E mail gen@launchpad-ltd.com or take a look at www.launchpad-ltd.com/events
Sunday 17th July marks a monumental day on the Island, when we host the first Herm Island Lord's Taverners Charity Cricket Match. This event has historically been held in Sark, however, our gardeners have turned Moss field, a cow grazing field, into a beautiful cricket pitch where we will play host to former England cricket players, and a few celebrities from TV playing alongside some cricketers from Herm and Guernsey. The match will take the form of a 20 over game. The first half will begin at 11.15am, and finish at around 1pm. The second half will begin at 3pm, and the game will close at around 5pm. There is no fee for entry to watch the match, and there will be a beer tent, and a barbecue tent available for refreshments.
The weather has been specially kind to us so far this season, and we are hopeful for a terrific Summer. We do hope that you are able to visit us at some throughout the season, when we would be delighted to welcome you ashore.
Best wishes
Jonathan Watson
Director of Hospitality
