The world’s in crisis – but we’re OK
JERSEY’s economy is in ‘robust health’ and in good shape to withstand the economic turmoil causing havoc around the world, according to Treasury Minister Philip Ozouf.
While government debt in major economies such as Italy and the US is contributing to huge falls in financial markets across the globe today, Senator Ozouf said that Jersey’s public finances were in ‘incredibly good shape’.
And he said that Islanders ‘need not be concerned’ about the local economy and local public finances. (from JEP)
Hope your right....
