Project Launched To Help Disabled
A huge research project will be launched later this year to find out how many disabled people are living in the island. The Social Policy Group wants to know who is affected by what conditions and how it affects their lives. It's Chairman, Deputy Hunter Adam says they'll be able to help more people when they have the data[b]

the above is laughable ..this from a man who assured me on radio guernsey phone in that he was bringing something to the states for debate in october 2011 that would see a new respite unit for adults with learning disabilities provieded(if passed by the staes).now he os saying we need to find out how many beds are needed for people with disabilities. some of the info they want is already available to HSSD ....this makes me so angry

Re: Project Launched To Help Disabled
It's not October yet This'.
It would be helpful if the survey also included the needs of disabled visitors to the Island. From the point of wheelchair and scooter uses, there are very few ramped crossing points in Town or at the Bridge. The West coast path also has several awkward or impassable places.
