Rise in complaints about Jersey Police
There has been a rise in complaints about Jersey Police.
There were 35 complaints in 2011 compared with 29 in 2010. Of those, five were upheld or partly upheld by Jersey's Police Complaints Authority.
There was a rise in the number of objections to the excessive use of force, harassment and abuse of authority.
And an increasing number involved alleged loss of cash or damage to property during searches of premises.

Re: Rise in complaints about Jersey Police
We can only hope that the planned introduction of tazars will reverse this worrying trend and that the offenders are turned away from the dark side of the force.
I wonder how it will work will the offenders colleagues be expected to summarily hand out punishment so that the victims can witness the humiliation of the demi-God, or will this be handled back at the station?
At least we have the comfort of knowing that this sort of control has worked on other dumb animals in the past - like the cattle prod for instance.
