Condor sailings to and from the UK this weekend are being relocated from Weymouth to Poole.

It comes on the back of concerns over the structural integrity of part fo the ferry berth in Weymouth Port. An investigation by the Weymouth Port Engineer has been completed and concluded that the berth should be removed from use to allow further investigations to be made.

Passengers affected by the change wil be contacted by the ferry company.

Capt Fran Collins, Operations Director Condor Ferries, said: “The safety of our passengers and crew is always our highest priority and we have taken this step to help sustain our lifeline ferry services between the Channel Islands and the UK. We are working closely with Weymouth Harbour to understand the extent of this issue and are in close cooperation with Poole Harbour Commissioners to make sure the change of port goes as smoothly as possible."

The affected sailings are:

Friday 17th February
The ferry will depart Weymouth at 10am as per the original schedule. The return will be to Poole not Weymouth with a slightly later arrival at 7.45pm.

Sunday 19th February
The ferry departs Poole half an hour earlier at 9.30am and will return to Poole at 7.45pm.

Passengers travelling on to France will make their original connecting services.
