Lillie Langtry immortalised
One of the most famous people to have been born in Jersey could soon be immortalised.
As part of a 'percentage for art scheme' the developers Dandara want to erect a statue of Lillie Langtry.
She was a well known actress in Edwardian Britain, but was probably better known for being King Edward VII's mistress.
It's planned to erect the statue in the grounds of a retirement home being built in St Saviour - the same parish in which Lillie was born, and where she was also buried.
