Damian Rzeszowski Found Not Guilty Of Murder
Damian Rzeszowski has been found not guilty of murdering six people in Jersey last summer
Instead he has been found guilty of the lesser charge of
manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
The court has accepted that when Damian Rzeszowski stabbed to death six
people, including three young children, last August, he his mind was so
disturbed he can't be held fully responsible for his actions.
His marriage was in trouble, and four psychiatrists agreed he was so
depressed his mental state wasn't normal, and he might have been
psychotic.
Damian Rzeszowski remained expressionless as the verdict was read. He
kept his eyes fixed on the ground, as he has done throughout the
fortnight long trial.
He will be sentenced on 29th October

Obviously I don't know the details behind this, but on the face of it, it seems a bit strange.

Why strange, he killed the family so he is guilty of killing. All the court had to decide was did he have malice afore thought for murder if not then it had to be manslaughter. The shrinks have shown that he was a fruit loop at the time so he can not be responsible for the premeditation of the crimes that he did so the lesser sentence is proved. See what the prison term is to decide fairness.
