Food costs published by Jersey watchdog
A consumer watchdog in Jersey is helping shoppers to compare the cost of food at supermarkets.
The Consumer Council has urged supermarkets to post prices on websites and is publishing pricing information.
The council, set up to represent shoppers and promote their rights, campaigned against the introduction of a goods and services tax.
It has begun printing a "Price Watch Flyer" with the latest information from supermarkets.
The council said the information would help shoppers make informed choices after concerns about the rising cost of food. (from BBConline)
