Re: Guernsey Child-Care Pre-Schools
i ;ile pre schools but i also feel to much information is being rammed down their throats too early in life
teach them the basic stuff before school
like tying up laces .playing with friends sharing .manners and other social issues
i feel children are being robbed of their childhood too early by ramming too much education at high levels at them

i totally agree with you kat, why is there this need these days to shove your children away at the earliest chance you can get, all these things can be taught at home!

sadly in some families both parents have to go out to work to pay for mortgages etc.at least these children are being taught in well regulated and caring environments

Re: Guernsey Child-Care Pre-Schools
id rather be at home with my little one , but if didn't we wouldn't have a home, eat or be able to clothe the children , and its not a big house we don't have holidays abroad , we eat basic foods and don't eat out,
think carfully what you teach your kids at home
do you do:abc , 123 , sing songs , make things , paint play with sand and water ,
when they say foundation stage taught in pre schools , that is just it , foundation of learning , what i have just said above , all of what you would do at home and more , social skills are also important and learning to be an indivalual,
when it comes to school these children are ready are less likely to be the clingy crying children , who are distraught that mum is leaving them at the infants school door ,
Us parents who leave our children at preschools , are not looking for the easy way out of childcare and bringing up our children , but want the best we can do for them , it would be easy to sit on our behinds and stay at home claim of the social and show our children that they too can get get easy money if they don't work , we like to think that by working shows that if you want something you have to earn it, by working and contrubuting to the econmony and making them selves feel good . I could stay at home but i don't, i have a child who needs round the clock care and supervision due to problems , but i don't as he needs specialist care from pro's in the field,
don't tarnish us all with the same brush, and a mum who has time away from their child treasure every moment they have with them rather than screaming at them because they have been with all day and are tired
