Sunken Garden re-opens
St Paul's Garden in Guernsey is re-opening to the public following renovations.
The area, also known as the Sunken Garden, is a favourite spot for teenagers to gather. Recently some of them wrote a letter to apologise for damage caused.
There was an open invitation for the authors of the letter to help plant some daffodil bulbs, but they did not show up - possibly because they were at school.
The gardens have been made an alcohol-free zone by the police to deter rowdyism.
The letter writers did point out that part of the litter problem in the area was caused by a lack of waste bins.

Re: Sunken Garden re-opens
how many bins do they want there are bins there .they just dont use them .
next time they get seen doing damage they should be fined and made to pay for the damage
a lot of folks have worked very hard on this project to make a built up area look nice ..sometimes it make me wonder why i even bother to help to make the parish look good if the police will not do their bit to prosecute these yobs .

Just a point Kat..... The police do not prosecute, it is the Law Officers - who are the local version of the UK's CPS.
Being right alongside the gardens, you would have thought they might have had a view on the misbehaviour/damage caused by the youths!!

Do policemen still walk round town 24/7 or is that a thing of the past.
