Annual parade in jeopardy
The annual Battle of flowers parade seemed to be in jeopardy last night after it emerged a grant from the Economic Development Committee wouldn't cover the costs of all those who have entered this year.
But at last night's meeting it was agreed that it should be up to Economic Development Minister Senator Philip Ozouf to find the money.
Meanwhile all floats will be checked over to make sure they are roadworthy.
There won't be a Miss Battle float anymore because it was deemed potentially dangerous.
And when the flowers for the floats are delivered at the harbour they won't be released until GST has been paid on them (CI.tv)
Sounds like a lot of red tape to me
