Some disability payments reintroduced in Guernsey Empty Some disability payments reintroduced in Guernsey

Some attendance payments for people with learning disabilities will be reintroduced, Guernsey's Health and Social Services Department has said.
The department announced last month that it would stop the payments as part of cutting £6m from its budget.
The payments for turning up had been made to those at Interwork, a States scheme, and a St Martin's day centre.
Deputy Minister Andrew Le Lievre said a review of schemes like this was already under way across different departments.
Deputy Le Lievre said: "Our supported employment schemes are actually full of anomalies, they need to be sorted out."
The department said it decided to reintroduce the £4 payment at Interwork as a temporary step, pending the full review.
It said those people who attend St Martin's Community Centre would not have their £1 payment reintroduced as this was consistent with arrangements for people attending other day services run by the department. (from BBC)
