Guernsey's new green waste recycling site opens
A green waste recycling facility has opened in Guernsey to replace the previous one which closed in 2009.
Garden waste can be dropped off at Le Friquet Garden Centre, in the Castel, at a cost of 50p per bag.
Recycling officer Tina Norman-Ross said there were a lot of calls for a new site and she hoped it would be popular.
She said: "In one year about 600 tonnes of green waste was collected and that kind of amount makes a big difference to what we're collecting at landfill."
