SEVERAL hundred feral chickens have been removed from the Vale Church graveyard and the surrounding area.
Promoting Animal Welfare founder Sue Vidamour carried out the work on behalf of the parish douzaine.
‘The douzaine had originally asked me to do it a few years ago but somebody was feeding the chickens at the time so I could do nothing,’ she said.
Mrs Vidamour put a D-shaped trap, which was about 18ft-wide, on the site for about four or five weeks.(from GEP)
