Cameras installed to monitor retail activity have revealed a drop in the number of people shopping along St Helier's main street.
The Chamber of Commerce, the parish and Economic Development were involved in the installation of "footfall cameras".
David Warr from the chamber said it revealed a worrying trend for retailers.
He said it was reflecting "a wider trend of people increasingly buying their goods on the internet".
Mr Warr said it showed the high street quietly going into decline and "coming down a peg or two".
It is thought the year on year fall was about 10% between December 2010 and December 2009. (from BBC)

The days of a busy high street have gone...
