Ageing population raises concerns
Guernsey's ageing population could be the biggest issue facing the current States, the island's new chief minister has said.
According to estimates by the States, the number of pensioners will double in the next 20 years.
Deputy Lyndon Trott said unless there was an accompanying population increase, the percentage of islanders working would fall.
He said the States would have to address the issue.
How about re-training the 200 plus out of work people to get them back to work...
