Bra dash raises a smile and money for a good cause
Around 40 people gave their support to the fourth annual bra dash in aid of the After Breast Cancer Support Group yesterday.
The Bank of Scotland International Annual bra dash saw runners donned in exuberant fancy dress, from cowboy outfits to hula skirts, with men and women wearing bras as a fun reminder of a serious issue as they paraded through St Helier.
Event co-ordinator Vera Kenny, who was dressed as an old lady, said: ‘With the decorative bras we try to create a bit of fun and raise money at the same time.’
Prizes were awarded to the best-dressed team and Citibank’s ‘You’ve been tangoed’ crew won the £100 prize for their vibrant orange and black ensemble, which included huge wings. The £50 prize for the best-decorated bra went to Michelle Woodcock, who had kitted one out with spikes and cones. (from JEP)
