Heather is outstanding performer of 2012

Heather Watson won the top prize at this year's Guernsey Sports Commission Awards.

The tennis star was named outstanding perfomer of 2012.

Marathon runner and Olympian Lee Merrien won the award for top sportsman resident in Guernsey.

Bowls champion Alison Merrien won the equivalent prize for top sportswoman.

The big team of the year went to the Guernsey Rugby first XV, who secured promotion in 2012.

The top small team was the Barracudas Men's 4x100 Relay team, and one of their members, Miles Munro was also named as the under-18 performer of the year.

The under-18s team award went to the Ladies Junior Epee Team.

Netball coach Gill Queripel won Coach of the Year.
