IEG Gas firm considers buy-out offer
The company which owns Jersey Gas has said it is considering an offer that has been made for its sale.
Jersey Gas owner the International Energy Group (IEG) also owns Guernsey Gas, as well as similar businesses in the Isle of Man and Portugal.
An IEG spokesman said the company was weighing up "unsolicited enquiries" for certain IEG assets".
It comes as world fuel prices continue to rise and energy suppliers face greater competition in global markets.
IEG said the "enquiries are being considered".
