Man dies after genitials 'set on fire by wife'
Satish Narayan, 47, lost his battle to survive 20 days after sustaining burns to most of his body.
His wife, Rajini, is expected to be charged with manslaughter or murder.
She has already been charged with causing serious harm to her husband, arson and endangering her children.
Police allege Mrs Narayan doused his genitals with methylated spirit and then set him on fire early on the morning of December 7.
It is believed a major fire at their home was started when Mr Narayan awoke, jumped out of bed and knocked over the bottle of methylated spirit. The couple's three children and Mrs Narayan escaped the blaze unharmed.
However, Mr Narayan, an engineer from the southern city of Adelaide, suffered burns to 85 per cent of his body. He died in the Royal Adelaide Hospital on Saturday.
His wife is now in prison.
An unnamed friend of the family told the local Sunday Mail newspaper that she had visited Mrs Narayan in the Adelaide Women's Prison, before she had been told of her husband's death.
She said the pair had held hands and prayed during her visit.
"She wanted him to live more than anything," she said.
"The children are beautiful and it's just a terrible tragedy."
The fire caused about A$1 million (£470,000) of damage to the couple's home and an adjacent property. (from the timesonline)
oohhh what a way to die, some women can be cruel...

She wanted him to live? Then why set fire to him? Did she want him to live, but be maimed and in agony? Evil bitch; what kind of a sick weak minded retard thinks like that...GD wrote:..."She wanted him to live more than anything," she said...
