Warning over icy road conditions !

Police are warning motorists to expect treacherous early morning driving conditions in Guernsey over the next few days.
Overnight temperatures have plummeted and the majority of roads
in the island are at risk of being affected by ice forming on the
carriageways.
Several vehicles have already been involved in collisions as a result of hitting patches of ice earlier.
Cobo, St Andrews and the Forest Road were the worst affected.




Be careful out there it was very slippery this morning.

there is also a possibilty of very severe weather conditions hitting the islands next week

A lot of people were out washing their cars this afternoon, so expect a few patches of black ice in the morning. Green Lanes had several and one house had a stream of water crossing the main road close to the Pony Inn.

I saw someone doing just that this morning by the dam and yes that is exactly what i thought.

I took a wonder down to Vazon to do the recycling it was like a skid pan on the main road by the strawberry farm and around by the reservoir , not so bad on the way back it was thawing out a bit . A little drifting never hurt anyone .. :-)
