Guernsey Player suspended for racial abuse .
The Guernsey Football Association has
confirmed that a player has been handed a 112-day suspension after
admitting a charge of racial abuse.
The offence was committed in a friendly match in October and was heard and reported by two match officials.
The player admitted the charge before the GFA's disciplinary committee and in addition to the ban was fined £100.
GFA chairman Mark Le Tissier said: "Football takes racism very seriously. There is no place for it in our game."
In a statement the GFA said their anti-racism
policy, which supports the English FA's policies, urges people who
receive, see or hear racist abuse, comments or gestures to report it in
writing to the GFA secretary.
"The outcome of the disciplinary process is an illustration of
the GFA's full commitment to providing everyone the opportunity to play
football without fear of prejudice," added Le Tissier.
A step to far or not what do you think ?

Quite right
There is no need for that sort of behaviour at all, i think the GFA have made the correct decision.

Crikey you lot have strange standards, ban a football player for racist remarks, yet your leading politicians can make racist jokes and get away with it
One rule for one etc.

I don't really want to read about this...I get enough of that kind of rubbish in the press here...
It is about time we gave the "politically correct" the booth!
Insults have been flying on the playing field long before this sanctimonious attitude took over,...you form your own opinion of the "loud mouth"...and you move on....some of us have learnt manners...some haven't...that's what it boils down to..!!!
