All change at Airport.

Guernsey airport is being revamped to meet the wants and needs of passengers.

Security procedures have become more complicated and that means travellers have to go through to the departures lounge earlier.

Currently, facilities inside the security area are very limited - a duty-free shop.

A new wall will inside the terminal will create a much larger
departures area. The main cafe area and will only be accessible by
passengers who have passed through the security search area.



Its about time , there is nothing worse than hanging around for sometimes hours wit nothing to eat or drink.

At their prices I take a picnic :-)

I usually go across the carpark to the garage. They do hot drinks to take away at a fraction of the price, plus sandwiches and snacks.

Can you take a hot drink through security? And what about health & safety? Have you thought this through properly or is it an engineering problem?

...........no you can't - I bought a botttle of water in the cafe - they called my flight and I had to give it to them - unopened!!!!!! But obviously you can buy it on the 'other' side!!!! Flew out of Zurich once and went through the whole search thing with umsmiling security bods - then went into the duty free and bought two Swiss Army Knives and a Compoact Tool kit.....duh!!!!!
