Senator Syvret arrested

It is being reported that Senator Syvret has been arrested in relation to breaches of the data protection law.

SENATOR Stuart Syvret was arrested this morning during a police raid at a house in Grouville.
It is believed that up to eight officers were involved in the arrest, which happened at about 9 am.
States police confirmed that a 43-year-old man was arrested as part of an on-going inquiry into offences allegedly committed under the Data Protection Law.
It is understood that officers were today carrying out an extensive search of the property and that Senator Syvret was in custody awaiting questioning (from BBC News)

One or two to arrest and the rest to search for whatever they were looking for if you follow the usual drill from the Bravo channel etc on Sky TV!!

I'm so disappointed in this site, I thought it would be forum to discuss serious issues affecting people in the channel islands, but hey I got it wrong. No surprise there really. The arrest of Stuart Syvret is such an obvious and premeditated attack on a senior politician's human rights, and attempt to muzzle free speech, but all that is posted is a few 'humorous' comments, hell even the JEP have your say has more serious views.

Don't think I'll be visiting here again anytime soon

Shafted - do try to lighten up a bit - don't take yourself or life so seriously - because in 100 years time none of this will matter to any of us....we are only visiting for a brief time...try to enjoy and have fun while you are on the way through :)
