Syvret charged with data offences

A Jersey senator has been charged with two offences relating to data protection laws.
The charges against Stuart Syvret include publishing a confidential police report which contained personal data on his internet blog, police said.
The 44-year-old politician was charged when he was called to attend the island's police headquarters on Wednesday afternoon.
He is due to appear in the Magistrates' Court on Thursday 16 July.
