More taxes on the way ?
A leading Jersey lawyer says more taxes are on the way.
Advocate Chris Scholefield believes the States will soon be introducing a raft of 'green taxes' after announcing plans to make homes more environmentally friendly.
But he says members are keeping quiet about it because of the furore surrounding GST and forthcoming elections.
Sounds like a big undercover job to me

Re: More taxes on the way ?
scholefield must have got this information from somewhere, why doesnt he have the guts to explain exactly what he knows etc... being an advocate increased taxes wont bother him much, if he is that bothered why doesnt he stand for election? green taxes are fine in principal, but there will be no viable alternative, they will be ill thought out, and probably affect the poor/ elderly,
I for instance cycle everywhere(nice and green!) but have a 4x4 to tow my small boat 1 mile to the beach to go fishing ( get away from the rest of the population ), so in theory would be penalised for my choice of vehicle, even though i only use it for a specific reason(i.e not shopping or taking the kids to school)
