Islands to lose teletext service

The lottery page will be extend until the 31 December

The teletext service on ITV will be switched off in the Channel Islands by the end of the year.
Earlier this year the company which provides teletext for ITV, Channel 4 and Five said the service would stop on the 15 December.
However, page 274 will remain until the end of the year, to show the Channel Islands Christmas Lottery results.
The local travel information provided by the service would only be available through the internet after the closure.
Karen Rankine, managing director of Channel Television said: "We are saddened to be losing the Channel Islands' teletext service after so many years." (from BBC)

Have to admit I hardly use it now, but before the Internet it was a main source of information for me....
