Decision soon on sale of pub chain
DECISION on the sale of the Ann Street pub chain is expected to be finalised by May.
The 42 Jersey pubs and 21 Guernsey pubs are currently in the hands of Sandpiper CI, the private equity consortium which in August acquired the CI Traders Group.
The pub chain is said to be worth around £80 million and includes well-known watering holes such as Fridays, Dix-Neuf, the Landmark in St Brelade and the Five Oaks.
The new buyer will also be taking on two pubs in Alderney, the Jersey Brewery operation at Rue des Prés, and distributors Victor Hugo Wines and Bucktrout & Co in Guernsey.
