Jersey is investing millions of pounds into schemes to help unemployed youngsters.
Over the past year, hundreds of teenagers have been struggling to find work in the recession, despite having academic qualifications.
To combat the problem the States are pumping more than £8 million into skills and training, to help young people secure a job. So far, 8.1 million pounds from the fiscal stimulus fund has been spent on training for young people.
That's funded 120 places at Highlands, a States apprenticeship course and more support for the careers service. (from CTV)
