No more tax rises… until States gets its own house in order’

TREASURY minister Charles Parkinson has dramatically increased the stakes over the States spending crisis.
He said islanders should not be asked to pay any more taxes until government could demonstrate that its own affairs were in order.
‘We cannot possibly come to the public and ask for any more tax until we can prove we are doing the services the islanders need as effectively as possible,’ he said.
‘There’s some way to go on that yet,’ he said.

How right he is, why tax us more because the States Departments cannot get their finances in order...
