FAMILIES are scared to let their children outside because of the broken glass and dangerous rubbish fly-tipped behind their homes on Les Genats Estate.
Residents in the States housing development in the Castel have been living with illegal dumping behind properties on the northern side of the estate. Items include old mattresses, rusted bikes and broken computers.
The Housing Department is planning to clean up the area and erect a fence to stop any further problems.
Mum Georgina Le Moigne has welcomed the move. She lives close to the worst area of fly-tipping with her husband and four children, all of whom are under 12 years old.(from thisisguernsey)
Story of every estate, trouble is a few spoil it for everyone..
