Burger chain will create 20 new jobs

A national burger chain is to open in the centre of St Helier - creating 20 new jobs for islanders.

Sandpiper CI will open Gourmet Burger Kitchen on the site of Signature Restaurant in Halkett Place in December.

gbk was first established in 2001 by three New Zealanders. There are now 50 restaurants across the United Kingdom.

Around 20 full and part time staff will be recruited over the coming weeks. They'll be trained up in London in time for the opening. (from CTV)

Just looked at the web site at £8:00 for a burger that seems a bit steep , Do you not think so ?

That is so great :-( - it really fits in with the 'fight obesity' campaign (shows they are really serious about cutting down fat etc in the national diet)
