Night bus service will ‘grow in popularity’

ENVIRONMENT has defended its decision to start 18 new night bus services, despite admitting the number of passengers using them was insignificant.
But the department is confident that the market for the services, which run between 8 and 9pm, will grow over time.
A spokesman said the move was about trying to strengthen the bus service.
‘We are, in accordance with the transport strategy, attempting to grow the bus provision and grow the bus business,’ he said.

I really dont understand how its going to grow seems too early a finishing time...

they should ask where the buses are needed .years ago the late picture bus was so popular they had to put extras on

too early to have a session in town and get a bus to the upper parishes xxxx

perhaps they should shorten the drinking times and go back to midnight closing for clubs and 10 for pubs ..the town would be a much better place

I still wouldn't go in - it is not 'my' Town any more - it is a town somewhere in the UK and besides a night out is far too expensive :-(
