Top European gamer switches to Alderney
LEADING European online gaming operator Greentube has moved its licensing and regulation to Alderney and, according to the island’s e-gambling director of e-commerce development, more will follow its lead.
Robin Le Prevost (pictured) said licensing and regulatory developments taking place across Europe meant that it was becoming more attractive to European gaming businesses to have an international base such as Alderney.
‘What is significant for us with Greentube is that it is the beginning of a steady wave of interest from European-based companies.
‘Historically, European-based companies have wanted to be based and regulated in the EU but I think they are starting to see the advantages of having an international base like ours. We are on the cusp of Europe, but not part of the EU, and have a world-leading telecommunications infrastructure they can rely on
