Start your engines ... The 2010 Jersey Rally is underway.

More than 70 cars are taking part with many visiting the island from the UK, France and Guernsey.

This year the rally's holding night-stages and extended-stages for the first time.

Due to the high tides, there won't be a spectators stand on the avenue this year.

Notable Road closures are as follows:

On Friday 8th October in the parishes of St Helier, St Brelade, St Peter, St Ouen, St Mary and St Lawrence.

On Saturday 9th October in the parishes of St Mary, St John, Trinity and St Helier.

No Parking Areas Esplanade 8th and 9th October.

The area of the Esplanade from La Route De La Liberation to Anley Street has no parking from 10am until 1.30pm on Friday 8th October and the road is closed from 11.30am until 1.30pm.

On Saturday 9th October the same road has no parking from 3pm until 7pm and the road closed from 5.30pm until 7pm.
