Family fun

The Guernsey Youth Theatre is staging Alice In Wonderland at the Princess Royal Centre for the Performing Arts on 15-19 November. The performance follows both Alice In Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass. You can book tickets from the box office on 749999.

  • From 27 November the Lukis Room at the Guernsey Museum in Candie Garden is being decorated for a traditional Christmas with family games and activities.

Exhibitions and arts

The Guernsey Lily International Film Festival is on at La Villette Hotel in St Martins from 15 to 17 October. Featuring non-commercial films from all over the world.   • While the house is closed for the winter you can still experience a glimpse into Hauteville House , the former home of Victor Hugo , at the Guernsey Museum in Candie Gardens in an exhibition of paintings of the house's interior by Guernsey artist Mark Cook that is on from 18 September until 31 December.
  • The Sark Information Centre is holding an exhibition called Sark The Movie looking at Sark's history as a film location. The exhibition is on until 30 October.
  • From 17 September the Greenhouse gallery in the Information Centre is staging an exhibition called Uncharted Island by several artists looking at mapping Guernsey.

Outdoor

The Nerine Festival is happening at Candie Gardens in St Peter Port from 9 to 23 October celebrating the Guernsey Lily. Hundreds of varieties in a wide range of colours will be on show from the collection held by the Guernsey branch of the National Council for the Conservation of Plants and Gardens.

Music

The Rock of Ages music events return on October 22 and 23 at the Carlton Hotel. The nights of music feature local bands and give new young bands the chance to perform on a big stage through a big sound system.
