REFORM a New Political Group

A new political group called REFORM says it will be fielding candidates for the next election.

It was set up yesterday at a conference organised by Time 4 Change - the group that organised the Rally in the Royal Square at the start of March.

Around eighty people were at the meeting yesterday.

There were calls for a change to the island's political system, a general election and more exemptions when GST comes in.

They also want more women to be elected to the states.

Spokesperson Montfort Tadier says it's not a political party but a broad movement that includes many different groups from Jersey's society.( from Channel 103)
