Ghosts of Rome to premiere next month
A short film made in Jersey called Ghosts of Rome gets its preview in the island next month.
It's a comedy about a local indie band trying to make it big, it has been funded by the Jersey Arts Trust in association with Fortress Island Films.
The premiere will take place on the 5th February 2011 at Cineworld.
Set on Jersey, the film features local actors and a soundtrack of Jersey bands and artists. The plot revolves around a struggling indie band in their quest to make it out of garage band obscurity.
Producer Toby Chiang added From this premiere, we will be primarily looking to enter this project at international film festival Branchage before looking on to other short film festivals.
Fortress Island Films (Hedley Le Maistre music videos) have worked in conjunction with Andrew and Tobys organisation W H C Productions to produce this rock comedy. The dedication and professionalism of Fortress has added so much value to this film. said Andrew.
Creator and director Andrew McGinnigle said
"The whole team is obviously very excited about the premiere. Weve all worked very hard to make this project work and now were seeing it come to fruition. Like any director, Im a little nervous about how it will be received but Im also proud of what we have achieved. The quality of the cast and production crew has been exceptional." (from CTV)
