Connex contract renewed
Connex have had their bus contract in Jersey renewed without having to go through a tender process.
Transport Minister Deputy Guy de Faye told members this morning he thought it was in the island's best interests. He signed the deal yesterday.
But many have criticised the move. They believe other companies could offer a better service and provide better value for money.
How can this be allowed, sounds very dodgy to me

Re: Connex contract renewed
It does sound dodgy as for being allowed if it is it should not be .You have to have a level playing field how can the States award a contract to a company and not even consider other companies. If i lived in Jersey i would certainly be asking questions.

If we did that here we would be hauled in front of the county transport committee. Got to be illegal to award a contract without offering it.
