The entrance fee for Guernsey Museum in Candie Gardens has been reduced during work to replace a flood-damaged floor.

The wooden floor in the Story of Guernsey exhibit area was warped after the drains backed up and overflowed at the start of December.

Jason Monaghan, museums director, said the drains under the galleries had been troublesome for some time.

The reduced admission fee, of £1 for adults and free for children, will apply until New Year's Eve.
