April 2012 States of Deliberation elections will see former Constable and current Douzenier from Torteval, David Inglis, contesting the challenge in the Western Parishes.

David has decided to seek election to the States of Deliberation because he wants to contribute to the well-being of the Island.

He commented “There are many aspects to consider when deciding to venture into politics; one’s own ability, strength of character and level of commitment, to name just a few.” He will be starting out on the campaign trail meeting the electorate shortly. This will be a challenge in itself especially as the Western Parishes covers 25% of the Island. “If elected I intend to serve with integrity, honesty and most of all a firm belief and desire to deliver, which will be very worthwhile.” he said.

David is embracing all communication media available to get his message across; a dedicated website www.davidinglis.gg contains his manifesto together with a Facebook and Twitter presence, so everyone will be aware of his desire to connect with the voter.
