George Store Opens Today
Budget shoppers will have another choice in Guernsey from today.
The new George store is opening on Grande Rue in St Martin's.
Kids clothing looks likely to be popular with adult clothing on sale too.
Its about time we had a shop that sells reasonably priced clothes in the island ..

Re: George Store Opens Today
they do kingcole..they are very reasonable for things under a fiver as they dont put any increase on those ..they have removed all the english prices from the goods and we are paying the full english price plus more for shipping..when i asked about it i was told it was sandpipers pricing policy ..the prices are still fairly reasonable but i object to the way the goods are being priced x

Re: George Store Opens Today
Freight,freight,freight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've mentioned this before but it bears repeating! We have one of the most expensive stretches of water in the world.Partly because fixed charges-harbour dues/cost of vessels etc are always there whatever the distance travelled and partly that you can't pay people,in the freight business in guernsey, the peanut wages you get elsewhere(high wages caused by the banking industry).
So if you don't like the price don't buy!
