Facebook Speed Checks Group

The users of an online group warning other motorists about speed checks say it is working to slow drivers down.

Guernsey Police are reported to have noticed the Facebook group and
claim it is encouraging speeding in areas where officers aren't.

The users of the group deny that and say it is actually helping to slow
motorists down.

Some of the comments include "the group makes people aware the Police
are everywhere and if you want to keep your license it is not worth
speeding anywhere" and "the point is the group isn't to help dangerous
drivers. It's to help the casual motorist and keep speed at the
forefront of people's mind".
