UK MP blows lid on Jerseys efforts to silence blogs.
UK MP Mr John Hemming blew the secrecy that was bearing down on Jersey internet bloggers when he gave an explosive speech in the house of commons and put important information into the public domain. That speech can be read in full on Rico's blog link below.
Part of the speech,
There is a country where there are allegations that crimes by powerful people are not being investigated and prosecuted. A journalist has been refused entry to stop reporting about an issue. The chief of police has been suspended to stop him investigating crimes. Bloggers are being threatened to stop them talking about people. Decisions by the state not to prosecute cannot be challenged, nor is private prosecution allowed. The country is Jersey.

Re: UK MP blows lid on Jerseys efforts to silence blogs.
They say that truth is sometimes more weird than fiction. When it comes to certain goings on in Jersey, that saying has an element of fact.
How many writers, come to the channel islands, to well " write " on various subjects like the architecture, food the tourism industry, maybe the French connection in history.
Jersey immigration in a bid to stop Leah McGrath Goodman an American investigative journalist writing a book on Haute de la Garrenne and its history has banned her, using connections to the UK border agency.
Jersey Immigration get her to apply for a writers visa,.
One little problem there is no such visa, therefore one cannot be granted. No other author has experienced this problem.
Jersey's authorities again acting like bullies and idiots, and thinking they will get away with it. We cannot let them good people so a petition is ongoing and doing well with over 2,004 signatures.Jersey shoots itself in the foot yet again to Guernseys benefit regarding tourism. If you believe in freedom of speech.please sign it, and leave a comment if you wish it only takes literally 60 seconds. Notice other peoples comments from around the world. Its about democracy, freedom and truth.

Re: UK MP blows lid on Jerseys efforts to silence blogs.
Latest News.
Two politicians in the States of Jersey, are appealing to the UK Government to step in and stop corruption in the Jersey judiciary. Not reported in tonight’s JEP or Guernsey press not surprising the real news is on the internet blogs.
Quote:
We have reluctantly taken this step is due to the frightening reality that our island's 'justice' system has become a tool of oppression rather than arbiter of fairness and protection for all ordinary citizens.
